Projects

This will be an ongoing list of the various game-related projects that I have completed or are currently working on, both personal and professional:


  • Legends of Saviors: Sol Mates – Earthen Star
    • Genre – VR Simulation/Casual
    • Synopsis – Originally being a part of the “Dreams” VR app for smartphones, I updated and ported this version to PCs.  As a Solar God, your immortal task is to cleanse the souls of the departed, combine them into a purified entity, and send them off to reincarnate on native planets.  By using the mouse, once can look at, cleanse, and then absorb Uncleansed souls to eventually create a Purified Soul; one that can be shot out to native, revolving planets, so it can reincarnate into new life.  I plan on updating the game with some new features in the future; one having to do with an enemy NPC that makes cleansing souls impossible, adding a layer of challenge to the player.

  • SPAce
    • Genre – VR Adventure/Puzzle
    • Synopsis – Originally being part of the “Dreams” Vr app for smartphones, “SPAce” was eventually updated and ported this version to PCs.  It is a unique, Myst-inspired collaboration between myself and my adoring fiance.  Designed by her and modeled and programmed by me, “SPAce” transports the player into a surreal spa located somewhere between reality and one’s own dreams.  More updates might grace this title later in the future, with more rooms and more creative control for the actual space area.

  • Dreams: A VR Art Gallery
    • Genre – VR Art/Casual
    • Synopsis – A collection of 10 differently themed games, created by the members of HVRE 2017.  Set within a virtual museum in the stars, players can use their smartphones and Google Cardboard headset to pick and choose – at their own discretion – which games they want to play and in what order.  Players can hop into a vaporwave car and zoom around in a neon landscape, or perhaps become a solar god and cleanse a star of its uncleansed souls, or even figure out the mysteries of a surreal spa, to be able to create their own universe.  It was created by roughly 10 members, each having their own vision for each game.  I came up with, designed, and modeled for two of my own games (“Sol Mates” and “Yenen’s Tale”), and had help to make both of them complete.  I also helped on my fiance’s game (“SPAce”), in which I modeled and textured it for her.

  • Mortimer’s Mansion
    • Genre – VR Horror/Puzzle
    • Synopsis – A joint-effort between a team of 10-15 local, volunteering game devs and artists to create a 5-player, 50-minute Virtual Reality – using the Vive – experience within a wing of a “haunted mansion.”  For every player (one after another), they have 10 minutes each to complete their designated puzzles and figure out a new piece of narrative of Mortimer’s life (the main antagonist of the game/possible series), up until the last player has a choice to either go into the main foyer, or a hidden area behind a bookcase (which could be for two different sequels for a future time).  Eventually, the game was scaled down into more of a “breakout” experience, giving single players 3 random puzzles (based on a total of 9 in all) and only 10 minutes to finish them all, or they would face Mortimer himself!  We plan on publishing it in the near future!

  • Legends of Saviors: Yenen’s Tale – The Fractal Forest
    • Genre – Point-and-Click Adventure/RPG
    • Synopsis – Originally being a part of the “Dreams” VR app for smartphones, I took what I had already created and have been continuing to update it with more features, effects, sounds, assets, etc.  Set in the “Legends of Saviors” series, the player controls Yenen – the energy Buntaien of the Saro Perspective – on the planet Par’N and is in the middle of trying to solve a mystery.  Within an odd forest close to capital of Northern Hortum, the player must figure out why droves of people (even local soldiers) have started to go missing, and learn more about their character, in the process.  When I get more projects behind me, I plan on doing this game some service, and making it one of my main titles for release.

  • Legends of Saviors: DDnD – Unsung Saviors
    • Genre – Digital Tabletop Adventure/RPG
    • Synopsis – Wanting to expand the worlds and characters of the “Legends of Saviors” series, I took a chance and ended up creating an interactive GM interface (using Photoshop and Unity) so that I could take 5 live players (using Discord) through a campaign with rules created beforehand.  I was able to add in many sprites, effects, and scripts, and have been successful, so far, in the game working and being fun and balanced.  I have put one group through the Campaign #1 at this point, and plan on taking another through soon, and creating Campaign #2 for the first team, as well.

  • Project Maze
    • Genre – First-Person Adventure/Puzzle
    • Synopsis – Being a fan of the 1980’s movie “Labyrinth,” I wanted to take some of my fiance’s fan-made story ideas for a sequel (mixed with my own).  I ended up creating a playable white box model of what the movie might feel like if one were to be inside, and found it to be fun even without most of the potential game’s features.  When I get more free time, I plan on re-hauling everything I have created so far, eventually adding in original assets and mechanics/scripts to create a true Alpha or even Beta.

  • Buntaien Brawlers: The Board Game
    • Genre – Board Game
    • Synopsis – A pen-and-paper version of the digital title “Legends of Saviors: Buntaien Brawlers,” where 2-4 players choose from 8 different characters to brawl across different landscapes using melee, Essence (elemental), and Soul attacks.
    • Stage – Prototype v1.1.0
  • Legends of Saviors: Buntaien Brawlers
    • Genre – 3D Fighting Arena
    • Synopsis – A Fighting title where 2-4 players pick between 8 distinct, unique characters, and can fight in 8 different, slightly interactive environments to become the victor.  All characters, environments, style, and even some of the mechanics will also be within the RPG titles to come.

  • Legends of Saviors: The Buntaien Souls
    • Genre – Action/Adventure RPG
    • Synopsis – The first title of a single-player, Role Playing trilogy where the characters and environments of the Fighting and VR titles will be played out.  An experience where the player will take on the ensemble cast of 5 Buntaiens in an attempt to balance-out the cosmos from an ever-encroaching chaos that is consuming the many planets of the Saro Perspective (a type of macroverse).  The game will feature “environmental-warping” mechanics that will be used as Essence abilities for each of the Buntaiens, changing the outcomes of entire planets for better or for worse, and an overarching story that will eventually connect to the other RPG titles.

  • Legends of Saviors: The Kahoutek War
    • Genre – Action/Adventure RPG
    • Synopsis – The second title of a single-player, Role Playing trilogy that takes place in the Reksta Perspective (there are 5 Cosmological Perspective in all), in which the player takes on the different roles of important Kahoutek pilots (people who control “atom-melding mechs”) during a time where TrueBuntaiens roamed the cosmos, most planets within the Perspective are connected to one another through extensive space travel, and a interconnecting story that will enlighten the player as to some of the truths of the entire series.

  • Legends of Saviors: The Kay Revolution
    • Genre – Action/Adventure RPG
    • Synopsis – The 3rd of a single-player, Role Playing trilogy – and also the last title in the entire “Legends of Saviors” series – that will let the player customize their own type of demi-god character, then go on a grand adventure across the 5 different Perspectives of the ST’RCK-5 multi-macroverse, in an effort to get 1 of 3 endings, based on their actions and overall decisions.  This title will feature a truly unique character customizing system that spans across the entire game, features planets and Alpha Species’ never seen before in the other titles (also let’s the player eventually go back to Perspective already played in, to see how they have changed), and wraps-up the story of exactly where the player has been this entire time, and perhaps the origins of their existence.
